The Unincorporated Man is a new science fiction masterpiece coming out this March from 2 brothers who never wrote anything before other than fan letters to Robert Heinlein. Actually that's not true. They didn't write him. The most they ever wrote was advertising copy for their day job lives. Isaac Asimov would be really happy if he saw this book. It's a new Foundation for sure.
As far as debut books go, this first foray is going to knock some sci fi fans for quite a loop. The Unincorporated Man is to Stranger in a Strange Land what L Ron Hubbard is to Scientology. Bottom line is that Dani Kollin and Eytan Kollin have taken science fiction and merged it with a reality that is not only possible but already happening.
Meet the Main Characters
Justin Cord is the future man who puts himself into a cryogenic freeze and wakes up 300 years later in a world brimming with Nanotechnology wonders where life is really great.
His first best friend in the new world is Omad who unsurprisingly is the one who wakes him up from his almost permanent sleep.
Neela is his "psychologist" (aka lover) who his hotter than Michele Pfeifer as Batwoman. Of course we don't know how hot she is until the brothers frame the futuristic Mardi Gras for us to read.
The Chairman is like the Wizard of Oz. We don't much about him except that he is revered and most people are scared of this man who came out of nothing to achieve a top valuation.
The last guy I won't mention because he is the evil guy. You'll need to read the book to learn about him.
Main Facts about the Unincorporated Man
- It takes place 300 years in the future
- In that time period people are valued by their "stock certificates" and Justin Cord does not want to incorporate.
- Nanotechnology and cryogenics have extended human lifetimes by many factors.
